Unhappy Chipping Hood

So we all know what its like, question is what can we do about it?

The chipping on my hood is gotten bad enough for me to feel the need to fix it. With the winter snow coming I don't want rust holes in my hood.

Question is am I better off painting it myself, or getting a pro place to do it?

Either way its not going to match im ready to accept that.

Ideas?

I tried painting my hood and it turned out ok, but then later decided to take it to a shop to redo it. If you mind mismatch color then just paint it yourself.

id get a pro to do it. but if you have time and a little money then you could at least try it out. worst comes to worse you have to get a pro to redo it.

ya may also want to look into the clear car braws. they are basically a clear vinyl sticker that just goes over the front or top of the hood. doesnt ruin paint(that ive seen) and isnt ugly.

You could try this. Haven't tried it myself yet, but I've seen some pretty good reviews of it...

look at your VIN sticker, there is a color code on there. Go to toyota and get the touch up paint for that color code (its like 10 bucks). Take your time, and you can wet sand if you want. I have been doing that on toyos and lexi for a while now, with good results. Take your time...that is the key.
