Quietly freaking out here...I bought a 1994 Camry wagon about a month ago, knew it needed a CV axle but figured no sweat since that swap's pretty straightforward--even figured I'd do the rear motor mount while I had the axle out. So I roll up under there and lo and behold the bracket that attaches the mount to the rear of the engine's only got one bolt in it. Closer inspection shows that the
reason it's only got one bolt in it is that's the only one that matches between the holes in the bracket and the bosses on the back side of the engine.
Then engine is a 2.2L 4-cylinder, and I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to proceed. The subframe does not appear to have been modified, and the bracket meets the top of the mount okay as well as the support bearing for the CV axle coming across, so apparently it's positioned correctly, unless it's just a little off and that's what really killed the CV boots. It appears there are normally four bolts holding the bracket to the rear of the motor--it's the lower left one that's installed. I can't upload a picture, but the smiley diagram below shows the approximate relationship between the installed bolt(

), the other bracket holes (

) and the engine boss locations(

).
Help? Is it possible somebody started to swap out the tranny or engine and gave up? Could this be from another engine? I've got two weeks before I have to move from Atlanta to Baltimore with this thing--hence the freaking...
Thanks,
Brian
