3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Still your 18 year old family sedan, still deserves the best, if you want the best. Even not, you may even loose money by buying cheap. I wouldnt cheap out on suspension components, they are the variable that controls everything from handling to braking.

SADLY, SHE HAS MUCH MORE MODS...
I live by that mantra bigbird but the car is an 18yr old family sedan not some fancy euro car that is barely 3 years old.
and because your car is 18 years old your ok with cheap products. im sorry, but if you have that mentality then why not just leave the car alone and drive it till you can get a fancy(overpriced) euro(electrical disaster) car thats 3(may as well be 18 for bad depriciation) years old...or somthing better?. im not tryign to mock your opinion...but logically if you think that, then modding isnt somthing you should be doing.
modding a car will usually harm somthing(engine, suspension, paint, body) in some small way because its wasnt designed into the car stock. we combat that by buying reputable and reviewed products that will do that as little as possible.

well dont get me wrong. you can still mod cheap...but if you do just keep in mind your doing so. i dotn think its smart because its kind of a waste of money and time.
one way around cheap springs is to make sure you get good shocks, which for us are tokicos. thats still not as good as a set of good springs...but its better and still cheaper.

Bigbird was 100% right..... I am a mechanic and I find it funny how these euro cars are falling apart after 3 to 5 years.....and whoever said that they are a great car should be shot..... The electrical problems that they have is a fucking nightmare....... I had a 91 Camry in my shop 2 weeks ago with a destroyed timing belt.....ripped in half and shredded..... I put a new water pump in, and replaced the timing belt, added some antifreeze, and oil change.....and guess what.....? She fucking started and ran beautifully...... like it just rolled off the lot......so an 18 year old car will treat you better when you dont beat it and give it quality parts and time put in to do things the right way........
In Caveman Terms:
$88 Springs = Broken Shit....... BE SMART

Watch out for the build thread!!!
IM BAAAAAACK!!!!!!!
Well, I lived there for 26 years and I wouldn't buy springs made there, there are no regulations, no testing and most of the people just cut the springs to lower the car...
