5s-fe air intake hose clamps

dumb question. to make sure that air intake hose is tight I turn the clamping screw all the way in? i'm talking about air intake hose side connecting to the Throttle Body. there is a similar clamp screw on the other end of the hose connecting to the air filter box. hose seems tight, but those both screws still can be turned (around half way in).

sorry for such an idiotic question, but i just don't know

Tighten the hose clamp screw (10MM hex) until the the hose can no move on the throttle body. Then tighten another half turn.

thanks, but that's not easy to do, because the hose by itself sits so tight that it doesn't move even with no screw... needed to use both hands to get it off in first place ...

Mike's move means twisting, if it can wiggle or moves when you twist it, it is too loose.

I know that there are a couple of tabs that help with alignment, so you watch them to see if they move when you twist the rubber hose by hand.
