Subs in Gen 4

So I traded my friend a computer for a sub (JL Audio W3 i think is what it is), amp and wires. (don't worry I searched) And I can't seem to find a DIY or any of that sort for installing subs in a gen 4 camry. Anyone know how or know of a walkthrough?

It should be a pretty standard install. The trickiest part for me was the positive wire. I put it through the drivers side wheel well, through a grommet that had some wires in it already. It would be easiest to remove the wheel then the cover in the well, but I did it with the wheel still on. Then feed the power wire under the trim on the drivers side and then behind the back seats.

For your RCA, just feed similarly under the glovebox and then under the trim on the passenger side.

Ground should be easy, just sand the metal very good to the bare frame.

IDK if it's good but I put a hole in the rubber steering wheel boot and pulled the power wire through there. The RCA, remote, and power wire are all running under the carpet along the drivers side and under the back seat into the trunk. For ground I pulled the trunk carpet back and found a piece of metal with a hole already in it and sanded down both sides and bolted the ground to it.

Hope this helps. Btw this is for Gen 3.5 coupe, just giving you some ideas and I don't think it would be too much different.

re-route your rca's and remote to the other side of the car. the power cable will cause a lot of interference with your rca's and you'll get unwanted sounds and possibly poor quality sound out of your sub.

getting a JL W3 and amp for a computer doesn't sound half bad tho.

I have noticed some unwanted noises now that you say something.
I think I'll have to do that tomorrow while I change my dash lights out for LED's
Thank you!
