80lb test fishing line works great....some of the emblems, the "toyota" and SE,LE,XLE are pegged, on gen 3's 92-94, on the Gen 3.5 95-96 they are not.

I've found the Sombrero in the center of the truck are pegged on all gens.

What gen is the question for?

I've only removed one emblem from a Gen4 before, and it was the Center Sombrero on the trunk and it was pegged....another member will chime in soon to give you more information I'm sure of it!!

Never removed the center emblem but I believed it's pegged. I got the 2000 and the other emblems were just adhesives.

the sombrero is pegged and raised, i would leave the sombrero.

the other emblems are all just adhesive, but you will have faded paint outlining the emblem, so unless you have a dark colored car, i wouldn't recommend de-badging.

So, just to double check, I've purchased a 95 Camry, (Canadian) and have access to a heat gun and fishing line and so theoretically a tiny bit of heat and a little patience and I can shave off my Camry, LE, and V6 emblems. Though they are the gold ones.(blang blang)

Car is garage kept and the paint is mint so I do not think I have to worry to much about paint fade. But I do not want to have to deal with the holes!

Some threads imply that the 95 has pins and some say otherwise. One even says that it is random! So... just trying to get my ducks in a row. Also if I were to remove the inner fabric on the inside of the trunk would it be an easier way to tell?

It's not my intention to hijack the thread but I feel like I'm generally on topic!
