new camry owner..1999

Hey i just got my first toyota. im coming from a 1990 saab 900.
i was kinda bummed cause i didnt think much of anything could be done to these cars but looking around here..ehh not to bad.
the car i have now is a 1999 toyota camry 5 speed 4 door. 153k miles for 2 grand..one owner has a folder of everything ever done to the car. its mint.

my question is what could be done. i notice lots of people drop V6 in an either super or turbo charge it.
i cant find sites with aftermarket parts. any help with that also?
thanks alot hopefully this car will be as fun as my saab haha.

thanks a lot

1. nice pick up.

2. the BEST thing you can do is figure out what you want and how much your willing to spend. theres plenty of options but its hard to get into that in one thread.

3. next search the topics you have questions about. 90% of the time its been discussed before if you cant find it or have more specific questions then ask we can anwser thoes better then the more general ones.

4.

turbo is the only good option for the 5sfe(4cyl). there was a supercharger system for it but it wasnt very good, expensive and VERY rare. so if ya want high hp then a swap or a custom turbo will have to be done. If you swap however youll have to swap the engine AND tranny. many say it would be better to just find a V6 manual and sell what ya got...but to each their own.

as far as sites ya gotta be more specific. there are tons of sites that sell one or two items here or there(preformance, body, suspension). thats why i said ya gotta figure out what ya want, search that topic on the web and here in the forum and then if all that fails...ask.

ebay is a good place to search for goodies though
