Weird Buzzing noise

'94 3VZ-FE Auto Camry.Hey all, recently had a trans swap/torque converter overhaul done recently and ever since there has been a wierd occaisional buzzing noise. The noise only occurs after the engine has been driven up to operating temperature and then turned off. After sitting for a few minutes if I start it up again I can hear a buzzing noise coming from the engine bay when the engine revs are between roughly 1100 and 1400RPM.The noise goes away after a minute or so and dosen't happen again until the next time the engine is stopped and then started.I've noticed no performance issues.Any ideas?

Use a short garden hose and put one end against the transmission, near the torque converter; the other end to your ear. Is that where the noise is coming from? Be careful of moving engine parts.

My moms Avalon made a strange buzzing today after she drove to my house approx 10 miles, then she turned the car off at my house and a strange, lite, buzzing occured that was an inconsistant buzz, buzzing then going away then buzzing again. The key was off and out of the switch, the buzzing sounded like it was comming from the transmission starter area.. BTW 96 Avalon 1MZ-FE 170,000 miles no recent work done to the car in this area.. Any ideas?? It is right at the charcoal canister could this be the buzzing gasses releasing into canister, if so does this show future problems on the way???
