1996 Camry taillight out light problem

I searched and couldn't find a problem like this so here it goes
1996 Camry
The cars dash light is on saying the taillights are out but they all work including the 3rd brake light. They work perfectly regular lights and brakes. But when you push the brake pedal all dash lights and clock dim and running lights come on. let go of the brake pedal and everything gets bright and running lights go off. Checked all fuses are good. Not sure what else it could be. Any ideas?

I checked wiring and it all looks good. Something new I noticed today is when you hit the brakes and the lights dim and the light out light comes on it increases the cars idle and when you let go it goes back down.

Check the loom of wires inside the trunk by the driver's side trunk hinge. Open up that loom and looked for frayed or broken wires. The wires inside that loom have a tendancy to frey and break over time from all the flexiing they are exposed to as the trunk is constantly opened and closed. Repair any breaks or freying.

Replaced all rear bulbs with new ones and its fixed.
