Strut Replacement?

I have a 1993 V6 LE Camry with 110K miles on her. The car rides nice & tracks well. It also does not bounce at each corner when I push down with my hands......When do you replace the struts, they are original, other than a little surface rust they appear to be just fine?.......

Maybe they're still good? Mileage alone is not the reason for changing out struts, but I agree that after 50K miles most MacPherson struts would have degraded. Besides, not many owners can tell the difference between the first 1/8" of tire tread and the last 1/8".

I have definitely seen some cars on the highway that hit a bump and just keep on bouncing. I think like you said that if you push the bumper down and let it go it should recover in 1 bounce or so. I think the 97' and 98' models had really loud/noisy front strut mounts so if you have either of those years you might run into that. I bought my car at 156k miles and went ahead and replaced all the struts at 200 because of how loud they were. They still recovered fine. I think from what you are talking about it may just be a matter of preference of how you like your car to ride as to when you change them though.
