4th Generation Magnefine filter size?

Vehicle is a Gen4, 1999 I4 Camry. I want to add a magnefine filter to the transmission. Does anyone know what size fits the OEM AFT cooler line hoses, 3/8 or 5/16?

TIA
Ben

IIRC it's metric but 3/8" should be closer. Anyone?

Make sure the filter is pointed in the right direction or you'll block off the flow!

I verify three times. First by comparing the temperature differences of the cooler pipes. The cooler one is the return. Second, as if that's not enough, I add a segment of 3/8" clear PVC tubing (~10 cents/foot), and check the actual flow. Finally, with the filter installed and the PVC still in place, I check the flow again. It's much cheaper than a transmission.

I had a 3/8 on, and then took it off a year later, I will look for some pics.

The magnet did catch a good amount of metal shavings, and the filter some bits and pieces.

Definitely worth it!

Noob questions on magnefine:
-Can some TNer share his personal experience w.r.t prolonging life of his tranny significantly with Magnefine?
-Any links to ANY TN/Online DIY would be really helpful.
