Thumbs down Problem with aftermarket grille.

I finally "glued" together the grille emblem that fell apart when I removed it from my original grille.

...went to put it in my new grille, and how 'bout it - doesn't go in. It seems like the bottom inside part of the hole on aftermarket grille is slightly different from the oem version. Not sure how to explain it, but there's this little "slide"... and the bottom of emblem has a little triangle piece that's supposed to go over it, and lock in on the other side. I think the "slide" is designed a bit differenty on the aftermarket, and it won't fit through. I pushed so hard that the emblem fell back apart.

I wish these fuckers would make aftermarket emblems to fit!

I used elmer's Stix-All (flexible and strong) to put old emblem on aftermarket grille. looks great, sits tight also secured with a "blob" of glue form the back.

you can get it at walmarts or any other such store.

How the hell did you get the old emblem to go in though?

Well, I think I figured it out anyway. The hole on the aftermarket grille is slightly narrower horizontally. I filed down some of the plastic, opening the hole up a little bit... and after a test run, it seems like it will go in. So I just need to glue the emblem back together.
