Trunk lock busted...cant open

Hey guys. hoping someone has had experiance with this problem.

yesterday at a little meet i went to open my trunk with the key and the lock cylinder started to rotate. the key didnt get stuck but it wouldnt turn at all. i then tried to use the trunk release(which has worked fine) and it did nothing. i can hear it moving so it sounds like the cable is ok but it wont open the trunk.

im assuming ill need to crawl back there and pull the pannel off to get it open and replace the lock...any advice or insight other then that?

the whole cylinder rotates? sucks. maybe the cables got twisted.
my trunk release lever broke. (i went threw 2 levers) i had to un-screw my lever thing and saw the tab that holds the cable broke off
just a thought, maybe something you should check out.

otherwise crawl back and try that way to open it

you should add a solenoid to the trunk for trunk release
