Inside & outside door handles broken, 95 Camry

Both the linkages are broken on the front passenger door of my 95 Camry LE Wagon, so I can't open it. (The lock still works, though.)

Seems like I have two main options for dealing with this:

1. Use a slim jim to open the door, then remove the panel to repair/replace the linkages. I searched the forum and didn't find any posts saying that a slim jim actually works on this model. Looking at the door latch mechanism on the driver side, I don't see how a slim jim could get in there, either from the outside or inside.

2. Remove the door panel. Is it possible to do this without being able to open the door, and without trashing the panel?

I got the door handle bezel off (without breaking it!), and removed the screws accessible in the armrest. Even got the speaker grill mostly off - though it's supposed to be accessed from inside the door panel. I pulled hard enough that one of the screw heads came through the panel material (fiberboard or whatever it's called).

There's one more screw, but I decided not to pull it out unless I'm sure it'll help. Would removing the speaker would allow me to reach in and find one of the linkages to open the door? Anybody done this? Or is it not possible?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. My mechanic said it could take 1.5 -2 billable hours just for them to get the door panel off, and I'd like to avoid that expense if possible.

Get some LONG needle nose and start poking around in through the handle hole.

Find a spare panel and just tear the one you have open. It's not worth the time to try to keep the one you have...cause it's gonna git trashed anyways...
