New Radio Installed. Speakers do not work and now wont turn on

I bought this deck to put into my 97 camry LE.
http://www.dualav.com/mobileaudio/xdma7715.php

I am having a lot of trouble. First only my right front and rear speakers work. I connected all the wires accordingly. I also bought a toyota wiring harness from walmart that just plugs in. Installation was a breeze.

Ever since I put the new system only the left back and front speakers work. Weird?

After a few minutes of radio, the back speaker usually becomes statistic and a few minutes later the front speaker stops working. I had an extra speaker sitting around so I swapped the front left to test out to see if I damaged the stock speaker some how. The new speaker does the same static and stops working after a few minutes.

A friend of mine told me maybe the wiring harness is coming lose and I should try soldering the wires ( the original plugs are still intact) I soldered the wire came with the radio and the wiring harness I bought from walmart. I did not tape the wires after soldering so I do not know if the wires touch together it will do some short cut.

Now the original Toyota radio or the new radio does not power on. It will illuminate when I turn the lights on buy will not power on.

Sorry this is long to read but any help in any direction can help. Thanks for reading and have a great day.

check fuses

dbl check all wire connections.

another aftermarket stereo available to test besides factory HU?

might have a defective unit from dual

after you solder your connections you should use shrink wrap to cover the connection

all bare wires must be insulated, individually. Use heat shrink, crimp connectors, or at least electrical tape.

I tried an aftermarket JVC deck I had in there for a month and it first worked on the left back and front and the right back. The front right speaker never picked it up. The the front left stopped working randomly. Then the back right stopped working.

I will cover up the wires with electric tape..

Do you guys know what voltage the fuse for the stereo is? there are 3 types in ther 5, 10 and 15. I pulled one out and I accidentally dropped it into the side and now I cant seem to get it out. Lol it was the brake lights and I had to walk 20 min to an autozone to pick up a box of fuses. The gear was stuck on park and it would not move. What a pain.

My deck has a 10V fuse on it. Say the stereo fuse on the camry was a 5v.. would that cause a problem since the deck is a 10V? get it? kinda sounds confusing to me too.

I changed the fuse. Still no power to the Deck. Tried another radio and that did not power on either.

Go to the12volt.com and get your wiring diagram. Make sure everything is installed correctly using the diagram they provide. CHECK THE CONNECTIONS WITH A MULTIMETER TOO! If you don't have one, you really shouldn't have been doing the install in the first place.

edit: you have a blown speaker too. with the stereo on, use a multimeter at the speaker (you'll have to remove the door panel) to see if it's getting power. if it is and the speaker isn't producing sound, it's blown.

It was the fuse afterall. I took my car to autozone to buy fuse and was talking to the guy about the problem and said he will take a look and put in the wrong fuse. He put a 7.5amp instead of a 10amp. Swapped that out and now it powers on.

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions guys

The old problem still continues....

The front left speaker works for a few min then becomes static. The front right speaker has absolutely nothing coming out of it. The back right has absolutely nothing come out of it. The back left works a little longer than the front left but eventually becomes static.

I tried putting a brand new speaker on the front right and no sound is coming out..

The front left has brand new speaker as well but it becomes static after a few minutes..

Any idea what is causing this?
