3rd Generation Does a 1993 V6 LE have a separate Diff from the auto tranny?

Does my 1993 V6 LE Camry have a separate Diff that it does NOT share with the auto tranny? I had a flush recently...& am wondering if I am all set or do I need to change out the differential also?........

if you had a powered flush, then it should have cleaned out the differential as well, as the two parts of the tranny are linked together by an oil passage on the v6

on the 4banger tranny though, they are entirely separate and the ATF in the differential has to be changed separately

The earlier Aisin A540 series have a separate differential reservoir. Another reason I don't care for wallet flush machines.

Have you ever dropped the pan to clean the magnets and change out the strainer? A Fram ATF kit works fine. As do WalMart SuperTech ATF (Dexron III compatible).

of course the V6 would be different.

Niiiiiice!

These transmissions (with no real filtration) really should have drains/refills every 10-15K miles. In my view, cheaper Walmart SuperTech Dexron III-compatible ATF has its place here.

SuperTech Dexron III-compatible Mercon V would be my next choice. SuperTech Mercon V is a semi-synthetic blend.

Of course there are those who like Mobil-1, Amsoil, Redline, etc etc.
