93 Camry - Overheating

93 Camry V6 230K - Did a radiator flush now it overheats after driving 10 minutes. Anyone have an idea as to what happened? Thanks for your help.

Update - Bled the system out and seems to have taken care of the overheating but its now stalling at stops or when ever I take my foot off the accelerator which was the original problem. I cleaned out the IAC valve, EGR valve and the TB. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help guys!

Does it stall after you first start it cold? How about after starting it hot? Or do you have to give it throttle to keep it from dying no matter what?

Sounds like either the Throttle Position Sensor is having problems, or the Idle Air Control valve is really, really messed up (not just dirty).

First, I'd inspect the TPS (see http://www.camrystuff.com , Gen3 manuals, 1MZ-FE Engine (V6) section, page 264). Especially check between E2 and IDL -- should be a short with the throttle fully closed (the idle sense switch is "on"), and an open with the throttle is open (the idle sense switch is "off").

If the idle switch is OK, then things really point at the IAC -- the insanely low idle, hot or cold, is kind of a classic "IAC ain't opening" symptom (but I always like to make sure the computer knows the rig is idling, thus the TPS inspection).

IAC is tougher to inspect except by inference (i.e., if you disconnect the IAC, and your idle doesn't change, something is rotten). Gen 3 FSM (http://www.camrystuff.com , Gen3 manuals, 1MZ-FE Engine (V6) section, starting at page 271) has decent inspection and R&R instructions.

If any of the above doesn't fix the problem, then you either possibly have a fuel pump issue, fuel filter issue or injector problem.

My first suggestion is the filter, then the pump.

I appreciate all your responses and will try everything in my unexperience capabilities. i havent been able to access the link you provided(it just goes to a blank page) but I'll keep trying. Not sure if it means anything but today I was able to drive 38 of my 40 mile comute without the car dying. Idle was fine but the last 2 miles the car just stoped every time I released the throttle. Thanks again for the advise!

The car has been running fine since my last post until yesterday that is. The rpms just droped again and the car stalled out. Anyone have an idea as to what it could be?

Heyy bro.. i have a same problem! Check my thread, what happened with me after FLASHING the radiator.
One more thing, when you press the gas pedal, how it accelerates?? Any difference? Here is what happened with me. I did flush and them my idle was bad and then i could not accelerate my car. It drives, but accelerates too slow.
