3rd Generation Electrics Question

Hey guys, I was wondering, WHAT exactly in the way of electrical wiring/equipment is located under the shotgun seat?

I had an issue about 2 weeks ago where a can of Monster was forgotten in the car, and wound up on the passenger floor. Needless to say, with all the potholes around here that thing started bouncing, and at one point, it hit my amp and the can was punctured. Also, I didn't realize until my sound system started crackling and popping

Now, I had resigned my self to buy a new amp (courtesy of EEngineer) when the sound system started working again like 2 days ago. However, there is a lot of static/noise in the system; I can leave the volume on minimum, and as long as the head unit is on, I have some noise coming out of the speakers (noise can be drowned out by blasting music, but I'm sure my neighbours/other-road-users would appreciate a more... proper solution to this...

I'm wondering if the amp is really cooked, or whether there's some wiring/cable/electrical contacts that the monster could've screwed up...

Any input is appreciated

btw, narrowed down the source of the static noise to be the passenger-front-door midline speaker. It still plays music, but it's also the source of the noise...

Only the amp is under the front pass seat in the Gen 3. Even if it works now, I'd have a spare handy just in case now. they often go bad too.

Is it possible to run a temp cable to the speaker to test that you didn't get any liquid into the speaker cable?

No, didn't get an opportunity to swap the speaker just yet
but the thing is, the entire system was cracking and popping a week ago
and then 2 days ago it starts more or less working; crackles a bit when going uphill or accelerating so I think there might be some liquid inside the amp perhaps. As for the speaker, the noise is a constant level; Not super loud, but not a whisper either; hence I can somewhat drown it out...

I'm not going to get a chance to get a good look for the next week or so though; garage is occupied by contractors, but once they are done, the shotgun area is getting a thorough checkup

And I think I will collect that spare Amp, good idea ASG14
