Went and got an oil change: Now I need struts.

And the shop noticed that one of my struts was leaking. I'm pretty sure the car has never had any suspension work and it now has 117,000 miles.
How much should I be looking at for suspension work all around?
At the shop they quoted me at nearly $1,300. Woah.
I'm going to ask my normal guy I go to, he tends to be 10x cheaper then any other place around and uses great parts.
What kind of costs am I looking at here?

Goto Autozone, get two Gabriel Ultras for the axle. About $130+tax in parts.

I used the price info from the Autozone at 963 GRAHAM RD, CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH 44224.

They may have buy-3-get-1-free special. So for about $50+tax each you can get parts for all four corners. That's assuming you reuse all the existing parts, including rubber parts.

You also need an alignment. A mechanic may charge $50 per corner to put them in. Negotiate first.

Yeah, I guess it would depend on the type of ride the driver prefers.

Gen 3 still can get Bilsteins, Gen 4+ no such luck. But these are fairly firm struts. This would be an excellent choice for those like firmer struts. I would pick these above Tokicos.

Tokicos are on the firmer side and good for lowering (not to mention Konis and other favs). It'll deal with smoother roads better. IMO it holds up better and it's a better strut than the "Keep Your Bilsteins", aka KYB. I don't care for KYB. It feels cheap and harsh and gives a jolt up the spine over road irregularities.

The velocity sensitive Ultras are on the softer side at low speeds and deal well with railroad tracks and potholes at higher speeds. So people's mileages vary.

i would go with the kyb but (this is my opinion) do all of them i made the mistake of doing 2 hear and 2 there and i think it ended up screwing things up
I.E. the front was stiff and new and the rear was sloppy
