Looking to do the job on a 5SFE Gen 3 but don't really know the specifics of it. I searched but was unable to find a write up. Any help out there?

are you wanting to know the location or how to change it? its not a bad job at all.

The location, what tools are needed, tips on how to not crack the bolt, etc. I just don't want to screw anything up resulting in more repairs.

the filter is located in the engine bay on the left side above the cradle. i can post a pic if that will help. with a 5S-FE, its a walk in the park. i have a 3VZ-FE and its a little more involved. i'll see about posting the pics tomorrow evening. at any rate, there are two banjo bolts that need to be removed. one on top and one on the bottom. if i remember correctly, the filter is held in place by a bracket and the bracket is bolted to the body via a couple of 10mm bolts.

Search user Xpeed, he was the one who performed it on his gen5 but the components are basically the same down to tools needed. Find him and you should find the write up you're looking for.
