has anyone changed the rack and pinion on a 1992 camry

I have a 1992 Camry and I have to get the rack and pinion changed in it. I'm trying to figure out if this is something that can be done yourself or if you have to have a shop do it. Unfortunately I can't afford to pay the price to have a shop do it. Can anyone tell me the easiest, fastest, and cheapest way to do it?

Unless you are REALLY good with car repair, I'd suggest taking it to a shop. I do nearly all my own work, and I still paid my mechanic to change the rack for me. It's not a fun or easy job unfortunatley.
