3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I know that I am one of the "new" guys on here and a lot of you regulars probably already know this, but trd4life (Gabe) is AWESOME to deal with! So far, he has located a CLEAN supercharger kit for me, pieced together a really nice fuel line kit for me and has even given me tons of free advice on my 2001 Camry. I wish more forums had guys like him.
If you need a part for your car, e-mail him. He has tons of Camry and Solara parts, stock and aftermarket. He can also source parts for you if he doesn't have them himself. I still have a list of things that I want and I am only going to deal with him from now on.
Gabe, thanks for all the help and parts man! I can't wait to get all this stuff on my Camry and make it the sleeper from hell!

owner of the "G.S.S. - Gentlemans Sport Sedan" or the "European-Japanese Touring Car". Haven't decided which name I like more, leaning towards G.S.S., lol.
PS I've said it before, but I am stoked I found this forum! I would have never known there was a s/c available for my car if it wasn't for this forum.

actually that mount is HYDRAULIC from the factory, so replacing it with a solid chunk of poly will certainly increase NVH... but the 1mz is a very smooth motor so it shouldn't be that bad. and after replacing probably 2-3 of these mounts (at 150-200 bucks each!) on my 95, i'd rather just do it one last time with poly and forget about it.
so gabe - how much are those mounts? i don't need the top bracket, do i? do we re-use our existing "hood" to help keep oil change gunk out of the mount?

I should have some mounts ready in a couple weeks i'll post pricing.
Gibson, no you don't need the top bracket, reuse your old one, also yes use the top hat to cover up the poly so keep you oil change mess out of there.
