There no need for the specialty installer tool. You can take your oil seal to Home Depot and match up with a short PVC tubing coupler or metal electrical conduit coupler. And maybe match one or two large washers. Then use the crank or cam bolt to apply pressure, while making sure the seal is straight and square. Shouldn't cost more than $5 or so, IIRC.

Or just get a suitable sized PVC coupler and tap the seal in. In close quarters, I use a pry bar against the coupler. However, it's harder to make sure the seal's straight than the bolt/washer method above. But workable. $1-2.

Been there, done both.

There is one o-ring for the rotor housing on the upper left of the entire pump. Then there is another one for the pump shaft. You'll have to remove the pulley to get to this. It's recommended that you change out the shaft seal, along with cam/crank seals.

Oil pump (shaft) seal $3.02

Just get the o-ring seal from the dealer (didn't see it online) while you have the things apart. It's a good ideal to replace as many rubber parts as you easily can. Beats going back in 2 weeks later. I wouldn't remove the oil pump just to do the pickup tube seal or pump and oil pan gaskets, for example, unless they are seeping already. But inspect and make your call.
