1992 Camry - NO SPARK!

o.k. So I just finished replacing my timing belt, belt tensioner, water pump, thermostat, belts, valve cover gaskets (which included removing the intake plenum) and plugs on my 92 V6 3VZ-FE motor with 206K miles. Everything went pretty well on tear down and rebuild.

Now the issue: upon starting the motor for the fisrt time after the major maintenance, it will not start. I made sure all my electrical connections were made, it is getting fuel to the injector delivery pipes, I have checked power to the coil as well as coil primary and coil primary to secondary resistance, all of which are within spec. It appears to not be generating any spark.

What else could be wrong?

This car was running well before the maintenance with no starting issues.

Okay I will bite.

First question.

You have physically taken a plug in wire and grounded and get no visible spark?

And if no spark, after all you have checked did you check ignition control module?

Edit. Its a thought anyway You clearly checked everything with a meter but if its not switching the primary. Well I know you understand.

Here is what is going on. Basically, i opened the timing cover today and the timing belt was "OKAY", but, when i hit the starter, it did not move, which means it is cut and the cylinder heads shafts shaft are not rotating. I took off more parts to see if i can take look on the timing belt, and then i saw it... the crankshaft area where the belt use to be turned, the tuths were ate, but the belt WAS NOT CUT. Basically, i think i have some BENDED VALVES (((((((((((( on both cylinder heads, because when i took of the belt, i could not ROTATE the cylinder head's shafts, they are seem locked.

Sorry to hear of your problem, but its is sorta high jacking original post. Not the same problem at all.

Maybe it would be best if you got the mod to split your post off?

Thanks

Edit: on a real fast note the 3VZ-FE engine? if s.o I think it is clearance engine, so you m yfriend have other problems
