3rd Generation Gone is my Camry 1993

I posted a while ago that I was trying to fix the Gen 3 Camry.

After thinking about it long and hard, I sold the car. Put it on Craigslist for 1200, sold for $850 plus threw in two new window regulators. It was not working and the person who bought it was going to fix it up apparently knows the issue. Many people came to look and many tire kickers

Sold $850 cash
-4 New Goodyear Regatta 2 tires <100miles
-New battery <2 weeks
-New oil pan <100 miles
-New Valve cover gasket <300 miles
-Water pump, all belts, tensioners, etc <10,000 miles
-Ignition cables and plugs 5000-10,000 miles

Was thinking about bringing it to the shop to be fixed but with towing, and the unknown problem, it might have cost another $800-$1000 when the car is worth $2000-2500 on the best day. Will never see that recovery of the repair bill.

I guess it is a bit bitter sweet as we have owned it for almost 10 years but at times, I wanted to just burn the damn thing as it sucked hundreds and hundreds of dollars back to back - and for a college kid putting himself through school working 40-50 hrs, man, it was tough. As the end of the day, I will still miss that car. Took us to WDW, Orlando from Louisiana and that was a great road trip.

Shopping around for a Accord, Camry in the Texas region.
Accord - 2006 +
Camry - 2007+

Nearly bought a Civic SI 2007 with 40k miles 4D but something was not right.

Nice one about 4 wheels spinning.

I would get a car if it is a weekend car but not a commute car
