I took a look at the file, this is the only pic i can find on page 219 (eg1.pdf)

Questions:
1. where is it? the picture is not clear enough.
2. how much coolant do i need, all 8L?
3. just unplug? do i need extra tools to remove?

To remove it you unplug the electrical connector, then unscrew the sensor itself using a 19MM deep socket. Install a new sealing washer, screw back in the sensor and reconnect the electrical connector. Top off the coolant as you will lose a little (depending on how quick you can remove and reinstall the new sensor) and then bleed the cooling system of air.

Follow the upper radiator hose back to the engine -- you'll see three sensors in a row there -- the left-hand one (usually a green connector) is the ECT. It's the only one with two wires coming out of the connector.

You don't have to do a complete drain, just drop a quart or so into a clean bucket so it doesn't dribble out the ECT hole when you remove it (you can add the coolant back to the radiator once you're done replacing the ECT).

You have to squeeze the release on the connector just right to get it to release (since I've got sausages instead of fingers, I often have to use a needle nose plier to get to the release). Once the release is squeezed right, the connector slides right off.

Once the connector is off, the easiest way to remove the ECT is to just pop a 19mm deepwell socket over the top and ratchet away. Otherwise, an open-end 19mm wrench will do the deed.

As hill8570 pointed out, it's the one under the green plastic electrical connector.

my 93 has two electric connectors in that area, but EcT sensor is the bigger size one, with green connector, maybe 94 4cyl is the same.
