Bra/Hood Protector for 1995 Camry?

I know they make bras/hood protectors for the 3rd gen Camry but I was unable to find a picture of one installed. I have an insane amount of rock chips on my hood and I am hoping that bra would cover most of them up and it would be cheaper than repainting the hood. Has anyone seen a bra installed on the 3rd generation? If so could you please send me a pic or a link to a pic if possible! Oh, and are there any recommeded brands? One with the most coverage would be ideal because the rock chips extend pretty far up the hood. Thanks in advance for any and all responses!

you can also look into the clear car bras. they are jsut a generic piece of film that you can cut to size...they are hard to see and still protect the paint.

It's not a good idea to leave a hood protector on all the time. Water will get under it when it rains and over time do a real number on the paint under there. I have one for my 94, but use it only on trips. Then it take it off and dry it thoroughly, before folding it back up and putting it away.

I have a Wolf Hood Bra, & installed it when I purchased the car back in Sept. The hood was just about flawless, & I wished to keep it that way! I take it off when I wash the car once a week, & apply a coat of wax to the hood once a month before I put it back on! If you do that you will have absolutely zero paint issues under the bra & have a well protected hood!.....

Hey guys, I promise I am not trying to be a smartACE but why would I want to put a clear cover over a hood with a hundred rock chips? I want to get a bra to cover up the rock chips on an already destroyed hood so I do not have to paint it. In fact the hood is in such rough shape already I do not even care if the bra causes a little rubbing on the paint either. This car is more of a commuter for me so looks are not super important just want an improvement. Any more suggestions?

Rattle cans never bring improvements to any sort of body panels.

From what your describing it sounds like some good ole elbow grease, with sandpaper, then primer, then several coats of spray paint, followed up with a couple of clear, would be an improvement!........

I beg to differ. If you know what youre doing with a can of paint, you can get a reasonably good paint job from a rattle can. Although for all the time and effort and cost of paint you could probably get a cheap Maaco paint job on just the hood.

^ Your car color is decently easy to match.

I have a rare color for my camry.

But, I agree, I use rattle can on the bumpers and it works out great.
I just don't know what to do for the rest of the body.
