Where can i get performance parts or do they not make any?

Im stuck on what i want to do next. I have the 5sfe and i have full exaust an CAI oil catch can new plug n wires. But im wondering if theres any performance parts dealers that carry light weight cam gears or crank gears or where i can go to ask for something like that.I have a few plans but i was wondering where i can get sum engine mods. So far its slim picking and everyone always gives the same suggestions. Im pretty sure im going to stick with this motor or swap and newer one in. So can any one make any suggestions where i can start looking. Also what about forged internals where can i go to find out about getting some parts for that next step.

i'm going to say search (i know the v6 better)

cams = webcams
light weight cam gear = none (yes on 3s-g(t)e)
i think obx makes a crank pully

forged internals? look for 3s parts, the rods are the same (i think), the 5s has the stronger (non-turbo) crank, not sure on pistions (yes on 3s-(f)g(t)e)

once again search you notice that i mntioned the 3s alot because few parts do carry over and most top end parts run with the ge heads which you need a diffrent ecu and loom to run

oh i replied early in the morning i must of been out of it. Ya that seems like a really decent deal for forged pistons bearings wrist pins and even the oil pump all in one that seems pretty sweet. i didnt realize what was all in it when i gave it thwe initial read over. So Thats pretty good for the bottom half does anyone know anywhere for the cams, gears and valves? I remember someone on here talking about resurfaced and hard welded cams for better performance. I going to try and find out if the 3s cam gear is the same diameter and belt mating surface as the 5s hopefully I can get a light weight gear as well. Also does anyone know if the crank gear is the same on the 5s block as some other yota blocks? Well im gunna keep digging and hopefully i can find some other mods. Thanks though you guys that helped big time

So everything has been pretty helpful but everysite is listing as late 80's early 90's mr2's and celica's. Is it a forsure that the bottom block and cams and valves are still the same for the 5sfe through all camry and mr2's
Also would the gears and pulleys for an 5sfe be the same for every vehicle? If can mind items for the MR2 what can and cant i use?

But thanks so far im getting a pretty beefed up list

well you can use any 3sge/3sgte camshafts on the 5s, although they both have DOHC, the 3s head was made for two individual cams, each camshaft having a cam gear to attaching it to the crankshaft. but on the 5sfe head yes there are two cams but car "interwoven" ( i guess i can use that word ) with one another, as the intake cam moves it moves the exhaust the same number of degrees ( i know that doesn;t make any sense but i really cant describe it )

See how both camshafts are geared together so the only way to get better camshafts is sending them off to webcamshafts.com and having them re-weld/regrind your cams.

CP makes forged pistons for the 5s/5SGTE (5sblock 3s head)
Crower makes forged i Beam connection rods while Pauter makes forged H beam rods
Proflowdesign.com can overbore your throttle body fore more air flow for $185

there is aftermarket support for the 5s its just extremely costly

The 3sgte valves can be used on our heads which will give you a .5mm oversize or 2jzgte valves giving you 1mm oversize which is going to require head work

TOGA makes HV oil pumps, and main bearings.

3sgte ARP head studs can be used for our head but some stud would be to be grinded down a bit to clear the cams

there is mroe out there but they aren't coming to mind hope this helps

4th Generation

Thanks i found most of what your talking about in the last day or two. i know how the cams work, its just a single cam gear rather then 2 seperately driven. But i would like to find out if i can interchange any cam gears with other toyotas or if i can interchange any underdrive crank pulleysI also found a decent turbo kit online for a 5sfe its not to specific to my vehicle but i can custom fab headers and down pipe if need be but it was at a good price if people are interested it had an exaust manifold but it didnt llook like it would fit an 5sfe. it was ebay i beleive i typed in 5sfe turbo and it came up. Is there anywhere that i can get reinforced valves. I can get vavle specs at school on monday if need be. but it would be nice to compile a big list of parts suppliers and put em all together and sticky it so everyone can find it. but if people can keep gettin me info that be perfect thanks so far guys.

Also when it comes down to it people have to realize if you wanna bolt on parts till you have your quick turbo engine go buy a honda or something else lol if you want a challenge and your a true automotive enthusiasts, you'll have to custom fabricate alot of your own parts and peices and build a fast car not just bolt it together. its always nice to see your grandmas car boosted but it aint easy stuff. but thanks so far guys this is shaping up now i actually can start a frame work of what i'd like to do with the car and where to start.

if you check the how to turbo your 5s thread it ist that you can use the 3s turbo headers you just need a custom down pipe
