yellow OOOOZE

ok so a month ago i did the husky air filter oil catch setup spliced in from the valve cover nipple to the nipple pre throttle body it works good i empty it about once every 150 miles

BUT now instead of getting a maple syrup color oil residue im getting a mustard yellow residue it smells the same

anyone have any feedback?

more moisture is in the collected vapour/oil mix.

Have any pics? I always thought the catch can was between PCV and Intake AFTER Throttle.

thats what i figured just a bit of water it smells like ancient gas and burnt oil

well i was finding this maple syrup colored oily residue before the butterfly valve on the throttle body so looking at it there no way the pcv valve inlet is leaking oil back that far so i put it together and on startup thers not as much blue smoke and the throttle body is clean

my wife use to have this all the time with her jeep - its a lot of moisture in the engine. typically happens when the car is only driven short distances and doesnt get enough time to properly warm up.

come to think of it when i drive 500+miles in a day its brown if i let it sit overnite it gets al watery that's probably it
