remote engine starter on a 99 camry

I want to install a remote engine starter on my 99 camry. I went to a installer and he asked for $550.

that is too much so I consider doing it myself.

I used to install a keyless entry with a shock sensor on my camry and lost 1

remote control. Is it much more difficult to install a engine starter than a

keyless entry? or just a litte harder? Is there any engine starter diy posted?
is audiovox good? they seem cheaper than viper recommended by most people. viper is the best bet?

plz recommend a model of a good remote starter less than $200

not sure if viper is the best out there.. i installed a viper 79xv on mine.

pretty easy install. just make sure u have proper tools/ material to connect the alarm/remote start correctly

if u installed a keyless entry before remote start isnt much more difficult

finding the tach may be difficult. you have to search the forum here on TN
some remote starts have settings for the tach to check for signal or voltage

i believe there is a diy posted by LynchburgCSI. not sure tho...

Anyways, what exactly are you asking? It's VERY hard to understand what your saying. If you want remote start, you're probably going to have to install a new system. Is this is right remote? What?
