speedy rims for sale on ebay.

i found a used set of 17 inch chrome speedy rims and tires for sale on ebay. the seller started the bid with a reserve set at 75.00 and wants 99.00 for shipping.,...the rims are in great condition..but 2 tires have alot of wear on the inside...so i will probably have to replace them...i have been looking for rims for the past year or so and i have a feeling these are the ones....

but....iam going to be at work when the auction ends....so what would you put as the highest bid...my mom and dad asked me what i want for christmas and i said the only thing is want are these rims...so i dont want to make the bid too high...

For that kind of price, I'd go for it;
and the inside wear shouldnt be too much of an issue unless you're running negative camber; You want bad, check my old summer rollers (will post pics one of these weeks ); Nearly bald, and one had a bulge (discovered 2 days after hitting the dragstrip )

Why not just take your old hubs/alloys...
and REPAINT them?

ok, maybe not as awesome as new rims, but for $7 (or whatever a spray-paint can costs), you can look DIY-awesome

seriously though, I suggest that even if you get new alloys (which you can also color; I found a sick chrome-paint that goes on any shiny metal surface, made by Duplicolor, a few years back. Painted the trucks on my skateboard a shiny metallic/chromed red), you maybe keep the old wheels and tires, for "testing the limits of lateral grip"
