Gear Wrench at Sears

I just got back from Sears and they had all of the Gear Wrench brand wrench sets marked down 50%. I've always wanted to buy a set but they were always too expensive. The 8 piece reversible (with a little lever) was $35.00 and the 10 piece (no lever, just turn the wrench over) was $40.00. They also had the Craftsman gear wrench sets marked down $20.00 from $125.00 to $99.00.

I don't know how long this sale will last, nor do I know if it was store specific. So if you see this give you local Sears store a call and get on down there. Right now it's Saturday afternoon, 4:00 West Coast time.

Full disclosure, not affiliated in any way with Sears, just like getting good tools 1/2 off.

Will need to take out a loan to get an equivalent snap-on set. Ive used my gearwrench set hard and have never had a problem with em.

Gear Wrench is the better line of tools by Danaher. Craftsman is the cheaper of the two lines. Snap-on is great, but too pricey for my needs.

Today's Craftsman are not as good as it once was. The ratchets, for example, have crappy 10 deg teeth. Gear Wrenches are 5 deg. But Harbor Freight quick release ratches give you 7.5 deg, with lifetime warranty. I'm sure HF will stick around for a little while.

It's as good as the Craftsman, but without the name or warranty.
