Alright, here's the situation.
I think I've posted before regarding a P0402 code being pulled from my 96 Camry V6. I tested the sensor (fine), replaced it, cleaned it, and reset the ECR. A few days after that the light popped up again. The following weekend I went to my local junkyard and pulled the ENTIRE EGR assembly (including valve and vacuum module) from a Lexus ES sedan (exact same engine design IIRC, even had Toyota markings on the EGR system) and put that in my V6 - clean fit, no issues.
A week after reinstallation, my light pops up. I'm very confused now. What are the chances that both EGR assemblies have the same issue? Though, I haven't pulled the code for the current light, so I'm not sure if it's P0402 again or not.
Usually for the engine light to come out, the ambient temperature has to be pretty cold when starting the engine. If the RPM passes 3k or so within the first 5 minutes of operation, the light will come on. It just so happens that the day the light came on was the first day this year we had snow (in Houston, which is just so wrong), though I don't remember revving my engine very quickly.
I'll pull the engine code again today after I return from the gym, but from what I've said, anyone got any suggestions/help?
Thanks a million
