Installing new stereo

Hey guys, so i just got a used sony cdx-gt210 for my 95 camry. I am looking for the easiest way to install this, any ideas? I've searched for smart cables and found the Metra EC-2X81761 and Metra SOY16-80b, but I'm not sure if those smart cables work, can anyone confirm it for me? Is there anything that I can just use as "plug and play" like smart cables? If not, how would i go about installing this?

coming from a guy who spent a whole day installing a sound system into his car, installing that stereo should be really easy especially because they have wire harnesses for gen3 Camrys. what you want to do first is remove the trim panel around the stereo and unplug the two snap in connectors for your cigarette lighter. Then there are 4 screws w/washers holding in the stock stereo and pocket. after you take that whole assembly out, unplug the stock wire harness and radio line, unscrew the stock stereo and remove. this is all easy.

now things could get hard here after since you bought your stereo used. since i got mine new, it came with a mounting bracket which slid into place over the new stereo and then screwed right into the stock assembly.(keep in mind this is very different from a dash kit which you will not need) very easy swap thus far. also it came with its own harness which i simply had to color match with the Metra wiring harness and solder into place - the harness cables even tell you what each wire is for.. couldnt get easier than that. seal raw soldered connections with electrical tape, and reverse procedure to put it back in.

sorry no plug and play design.. but easy as it can get with a Metra harness.. just need to solder or if you have heat shrink wrap, it will mean no solder or wrapping in electrical tape after.. makes easy easier

Just go to Walmart and buy a stereo install kit for a toyota camry. All you need is the wiring harness, match it color to color and it will be all good!

I did spend some time matching up the factory color wires with my aftermarket radio and some were different. Just make sure you're really picky and neat about it, and it took me about 30 minutes to finally get all the wires matched up and connected. Just remember to take the negative end off your battery cause that was my first mod and I didn't know and popped a fuse under the hood. ;[
