Im about half way done retrofitting the black depos. Ill put up some pics later today or maybe tommorrow.
Using Hella 2.5 inch H7 projectors out of a Kia Optima with Fresnel Lenses.
EDIT:
Okay here are the pics. And a little bit of explanation for everyone.
Here are the 2.5 inch Hella projectors I retrofitted.
First you gotta remove the black mounting bracket on the back of the housings.
Then you gotta put the headlight housings in the oven at 300 degrees for about 5 minutes to soften up the glue. Then you can pull off the lens cover.
There is a circle printed on the back of the housings that is a convenient guide for your original cut. You can use a saw if you like. I am lacking when it comes to power tools so I drilled around the circle and broke it out in pieces.
You will end up with a very rough cut out that is about 2 inches in diameter.
Using a dremel, smooth and bore out the hole towards the TOP and the CENTER of the housings. You DONT want to drill it into the bottom or side walls.
Once the hole is big enough for the projector to fit in, mount it with one screw and nylon locking nuts at the top of the projector and two at the bottom on either sides of the projector. Tightening the top screw will aim the projector up and the two bottom screws will aim it left and right.
Ready to put back in the oven to soften the glue so you can reattach the lens cover.
Cut out plastic on the black mounting bracket so the projector will fit through it. Make sure you dont cut off anything that will affect the structure of the headlight (such as the spring at the bottom that keeps the bottom of the housing tight to the bracket). A hacksaw worked well.
Mount it on the car and spend some quality time aiming it properly.
THE RESULTS:
I know my fog lights look nasty. Im gonna be getting different ones soon and putting in 3000k HIDs.
By the way, those are 4300k in the projectors if you were wondering.
I havent had time to properly aim them yet so the cutoffs dont quite line up. But I will put up some night pictures once I get them aimed.

From a distance it looks sick! But when you get up really close they look kinda ghetto because I didnt get the holes so perfectly round. I want to make like a small black disc to go around the projector that will cover up the ghettoness. But all in good time.

That's the first time I've seen projectors behind the reflector. Most put them in front of the reflector. Because of that, IMO, those sit way too far back in the housings. They're even further back than the standard halogens. Well, if you like them, that's all that really matters I guess. All in all, not bad.

I wanted them to be deep in the housing. It makes them blend more and they almost seem like they are supposed to be there. And it sort of eliminates the bug eye look which I wasnt going for.

Yeah you can get em from a junkyard. Just look into the housings of nicer or newer cars for a dome of glass. (Lexus, mercedes, newer or performance nissans, newer kias, bmws, etc.) But most junkyards actually wont let you just buy the projectors. They will often make you buy the whole housing. Or you can buy just the projectors off of ebay. There are thousands of em on ebay.
As for mounting, look at the first post on this thread, it explains how I mounted them. There are also other threads about Retrofitting that you could look at.
