I thought I'd check out Toyota's official web site having to do with repairs. They call it Toyota Information Services (TIS). It costs $15.00 for 2 days, $75.00 for a month, and lots more for the yearly subscription. I figure I'd take a peek for $15.00. I should have spent it on beer.
The interface was klunky. They displayed the pages from the manuals that you can get on line lots of places, 2 pages at a time. No where was there a place to enter your VIN to get specific information about your car. Some of the pages I looked at referred to the CNG model LE, and I don't have one of those. thank you very much.
The engine section has 500 links that you can root through to find something. None of the parts diagrams had part numbers. Way more information is at places likeToyotaPartsOutlet.com, RockAuto.com, or ToyotaPartsZone.com.
Maybe there is information there that I missed, but IMO you were thinking about subscribing to TIS, just go out and buy a case of beer, and browse the topics here on TN. You will be much happier.
