^^^ Thats just how to take the valve cover off.

It isnt that bad of a job on the 4cyl camry.

Basically take the timing belt off etc.

Get the exhaust manifold off. (Spray the bolts with pb blaster for a few days before hand to prevent them from snapping.)

Get intake manifold off.

Unbolt head/valve cover.

I don't think you have to get the throttle body out of the way.

Oh only specialty tool i can think off would be a harmonic balancer puller and the tool to compress the springs to remove the valves (cant think of the name). Thats if your taking apart the head to change vales, seals.

I haven't done it on this engine. Done a bunch of V6 Chevy's and buicks which are a complete pain compared to the camry.

Only hard spot i can think off would be to get to those rear intake bolts, but its probably not that bad. Camrys are easy to work on so dont worry, the engineering of these cars cant be more well thought of.

Why are you takign the head off?

You can replace valve seals without removing head. You use air pressure via a spark plug adapter to hold the valves up. You cannot see the rings with the head removed anyway. You will have to open the bottom end to get the pistons out to inspect rings. A compression check is the best way to accomplish a ring inspection.

Besides the adapter for the air hose you will need a tool to compress the springs.
