What is the difference between the Toyota 90915-YZZG1 Oil filter & the Toyota 90915-YZZD1 Oil filter? The dealer says either one will work for my 1993 3VZFE V6 LE Camry........

Probably where it's made? Both the G1 and D1 should be short filters. How about getting a D3 or go with Motorcraft FL400S?

I'd use the larger version.

BTW, some dealers stock only the shorty, because they don't want to stock 2 or 3 different ones.

What JohnGD said -- G1 is made in USA, D1 is made in Thailand (sadly, net wisdom says that the D1 is better made than the G1).

+1 on the D3 -- usually the same cost, but more filter area.
