Camry with a new engine cover and new paint.... pics inside.

Here's a small update. Today I painted the hood. I had painted the front bumper a few weeks ago and finally got around to doing the hood today. I still need to set sand and buff, both the hood and bumper but I'll wait for the paint to fully cure and do it next weekend. I installed a new engine cover. It's out of an 01 RX300. I really like the way it looks, and it tucks nice under the hood with no clearance issues. The only concern I have is the Lexus "L". I'll have to see if I can find a same sized Toyota sombrero and swap it in it's place.

I also swapped back to the OE style grille and painted the corners amber.

Unfortunately the VVT-i logo is molded with the rest of the engine cover. I'd like to remove it but for the time being I'm ok with it. Maybe I'll repaint it solid grey like that section of the cover for a less noticeable appearance.

Nice.

Basically like you said, try to get a sombrero for the cover, and try to get rid of the vvti.

Corner signal lights are nice.

I need to finish it. I cut it out, but still have to bondo the rough edges and look neat.
