1999 V6 Auto Trans Fluid change

I have a 99 Camry V6 with the auto trans.
I have searched the forum for a definative answer and really have not found one.
Does this car have a seperate drain and fill process for the differential. The reason I ask is, I have found a lube shop that uses the new T-1 machine to do a total clean an the auto tranny [not Jiffy Lube] and I don't know if I need them to treat the diff. as a seperate drain and fill.
Please explain.

No, you have to manually drain the differential. Or get the shop to do it. Otherwise it won't get exchanged out by the machine.

Get them to do this to see for yourself: flush and put new fluid in the transmission, and look at the color of the ATF drained out from the differential when they do it afterwards. Do you think that's new fluid?

Gen 4 should be able to filled both the transmission and the differential from the SAME DIPSTICK TUBE. You just have two different drains. (Just who thought of that?)

OK, Thank you.
Who thought this up is right. You drain them seperately but fill via the same dip stick hole. What form of magic goes on there??

Hey, it's an improvement over the previous design, where there are seperate drains but the differential fill hole is wedged between the engine and the firewall. No dipstick -- you tell it's full when the ATF starts to run out of the fill hole and down the transaxle. Trust me, it's just an effing joy to change out the diffy fluid on my '95 5S-FE.
