I probably did not describe what I was trying to say very well. The handling should be more responsive because the sidewalls are stiffer at higher pressure. To me that makes them feel twitchy under normal driving conditions, but at 100 mph or greater the added stiffness is better. Most of us don't drive at 100mph on a regular or sustained basis so the 32psi or so works well.
However that brings us back to your original reply of using max tire pressure. 35psi is probably about 8-9 psi less than max tire and 12-14 below what Toyota recommends. So where did that come from? Just curious.
