Suspension goes bad usually. If it hasn't had struts replaced, you might want that.

Every camry I've ever seen under the hood has always had the starter replaced with a re-man.

Also, watch out for sludge.

I am parting out a 97 camry 4 Cyl auto, so if you need any parts, let me know!

Bumper, hood, and lights have been sold.

Still have the rear bumper though!

I'm in Chapel Hill, NC.

You can get the it for $20. I have no idea how much shipping for something so large would be, though...

Walmart sells fiberglass kits for pretty cheap. I wouldn't bondo it.

I don't know if there are Walmarts in Canada, if not...another similar store like Canadian Tire should have the stuff you need!

Headlights and marker lights you can get for real cheap on eBay.

the only major-ish problem was with sludge if not properly maintained. the best way to check it is to unbolt the valve cover and take a look.

other very common problem on the 4cyls from 87-01 (no thats not a typo) is oil pump leaking. you dont have to replace the pump, just the 2 seals. toyota calls one of them an "o-ring" even though it's not shaped like an O by any stretch of the imagination. about $15 in parts to reseal oil pump using dealership parts. of course, you have to take off the timing belt to do it so you might as well do all the rest of that stuff too - timing belt, idler/tensioner pulleys, cam seal, crank seal, and maybe water pump too.
