Replacing rear brake pads of camry 92 v6

I am a new member of this forum and i would like to replace my rear brake pads of my camry 92 v6. I noticed that the piston of the brake pad is the same as the front and it doesn't require a special tool that rotate and push the piston. Can i just use a c-clamp to push in the piston like what i did to the piston in the front brake pads? Thanks for your help!

from what i know, yes you just push the piston back with c clamp. Use piece of wood between c clamp and piston

Yeap, just a normal clamp will work. The screw style calipers are usually VW and some newer fords.... they suck to work on

A normal C-clamp as mentioned or a bar clamp I like to use:
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=96211

Put one end against the engine bay side of the caliper (not on the brake hose/banjo) and the handle side against the outer pad. This also allows you to easily open the bleeder screw so the brake fluid gets squeezed out instead of heading back to the master cylinder. If you care about things like that.

I also use:

It's a good time to flush out the fluid. I like to use Castrol GT LMA or Valvoline Synthetic. Both are Low Moisture Activity fluids.

Yeah, those European performance cars are a pain. Try one with a 4 or 6 piston "physics-defying" Brembo brake system!

So what brand of brake pads are you using?
