Quick question for the suspension gurus..

ok im so tired to try and search the threads what suspensions are interchangable with the gen 3 camry. So basically this guy is selling his coilovers for a 2000 camry solara for 250 bucks on my local forum. im thinking these are a steal because i remember a thread about gen 4 supension fitting on the gen 3.

the coilovers are made from ground control..are these just the coil sleeves? adjustable suspension wouldn't be TOO bad with sleeves right? i dont wanna be blowing struts left and right because she is my daily.

im begging for some drop in the front to get rid of my wheel gap. would sleeves in the front be a good option?

do coilovers swap between gen 4 & gen 3 without any issues?

this had been discussed many times before. A user here, gibson99 had them on his gen 4. Tokicos are the only struts recommended for GC sleeves if you planning to dump it. TRD/Bilsteins are the only other option but those are almost impossible to find.

Yes, gen 3 and gen 4 suspension is interchangeable. Mind you, those sleeves can be found new on eBay for a little over 300. Not much of a steal if you ask me...

if you get GCs then make sure you use tokico shocks. anything else will be too soft. as stated, gibson99 had a good experiance with them but he had tokicos and made sure to keep the warranty.

and yes they will fit the gen3.

I'd say just keep the $250 and save up for coilovers that are fully adjustable.

x2 on saving up on a set of coils.. i heard those are noisy as hell when cold- which makes the experience in the car feel cheap with all the creaking and what not. (:
