TRANSMAX E
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Castrol Transmax E is a premium synthetic automatic transmission fluid specifically designed for use
in vehicles with automatic transmissions made by Asian vehicle and transmission manufacturers.
PRODUCT APPLICATION
Castrol Transmax E is an automatic transmission fluid for use in most Japanese, Korean and many
European vehicle automatic transmissions made by Asian manufacturers. Those transmissions
typically have higher anti-shudder performance requirements than most European or US designed
automatic transmissions.
It was designed to meet the Japanese Automobile Standards Organisation performance needs (JASO
1A) which is recognised by most Japanese Automobile Manufacturers.
PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS
Castrol Transmax E is based on latest high performance additive technology in high quality base
stocks to ensure:
• Outstanding slipping torque converter clutch friction durability for maximum fuel efficiency and
shudder control performance – more than matches genuine oil performance.
• Exceptional high temperature protection to effectively resist fluid oxidation that helps ensure
excellent transmission cleanliness and durability.
• Enhanced friction durability for smooth transmission shift performance.
• Excellent shear stability helps ensure consistent high temperature performance.
• Superb low temperature fluidity for cold weather shifting.
• Excellent wear and corrosion performance to help ensure long transmission life.
• High torque capacity ensures strong performance in severe applications like towing and off-road
applications.

• Dexron® III. is listed, so it would work.

How much per litre? versus a non synthetic version?

If you are going to change it yourself, it may be worth getting an ATF that is not labeled as synthetic (as all ATF is made mostly of synthetic based hydraulic lubricant)

I wish we could get the range of Transmax products here.

A good ATF is definitely missing in the "Syntec" line. Transmax-E would definitely make a great Syntec ATF.

I would definitely use this ATF as it is a synthetic universal multivehicle ATF. It will also work well in the power steering, diffs, transfer cases, and anything else requiring dexron ATF.
