99 camy need a bypass module for remote start?

I installed a remote starter on my 99 camry.

It cranks but won't start. I am suspicious on a bypass module that I didn't install. Does a 99 camry require a bypass module(immobilizer transponder)? How do I know that factory immobilizer is installed?

thank you for your answer

I have a same question too. Which remote starter did you install? I was thinking about putting in a Bulldog RS1100.

Mine is audiovox APS920 purchased for $99 on ebay. I found that I may need a bypass kit which is dei 1100x.

I'll disconnect my remote starter and install again. If it succeeds, I'll post it with pics.
