anybody know how to get the mains out?
2000 V6. I am trying to get the mains out to look at the bearings. I removed the 4 main lower bolts and the 2 cross main bolts on the side of the block. If I hit the main with a hammer it will move slightly sideways telling me that all bolts have been removed, but I can not pull it down. I made a special tool with a handle to get into the side of the main and try to pull it down, but I am not able to put enough force to move it downward. Is it supposed to be that hard, or is there some other special tool needed to pull these bad boys out? Thanks.
