Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
i`ve been browsing around on these forums for a good while now. always been more of a reader though , but i thought i would share this with the good folks on TN
so after this past week or so of good dry weather , i decided the car needed a good wash. hopefully the weather stays decently sunny for a while . here`s what it looks likee now
well, it`s super stock right now haha. i`m open to any and all suggestions you might have that would be within a starving college student`s budget though . thanks for lookin :]
Love that two-toned Gallery Edition. I see you've got your original battery still.. Might want to think about changing it. My coworker's OEM Panasonic went 7 years but it was a bit slow to crank toward the end.
Is your car tinted? I can't tell.. If not, you should tint it

@islandboy : the battery`s still working fine for me so i`m pretty sure it`ll be good for quite a while longer . and it`s not tinted yet :p looks kinda funny being able to see straight thru the whole car . thanks for the compliment !
@chriscrash: zanker`s right in the neighborhood near the greatmall if you remember where that is. i was thinking about redoing the instrument/gauge cluster to blue/red LEDs since the stock greenish glow looks so outdated, but then i was looking around on superbrightleds last night and hell are there a lot of different types of LEDs . i was also considering a new deck but it seems like the stock radio slot would fit two. so i dunno what i would do with an empty hole lol . btw thanks for the compliment
I know where you're talking about. Man, I miss it now haha
The radio slot DOES fit two. You can buy a dash installation kit, which will come with a small pocket kind of thing. Almost like a shelf, to put under the new deck. Your car's so clean, I would stick with white LED's. But I'm not the "flashy" type haha.
the tint would definitely make it look a bit better , i heard that it wasn`t legal to do the two front side windows though. but then again , does anyone ever get caught for that ? i want it decently dark , but not so much that visibility would be zero at nite though :p
overall goal for this car would probably just be good looks and aggressive sounds though .
I don't know about california's tint laws. Just google search it.
You probably can't go darker than 25% though...
For aggressive looks, you'll want to lower it and maybe get a lip kit.
For aggressive sound, you'll want something deep. Think about magnaflow for a muffler. A cherry bomb for a resonator might help too. I saw a magnaflow hi-flow cat on ebay for like $50 tonight as well.
An SRI can be custom made pretty cheap and give a nice suction kinda sound.
A header will give you some more noise.
You COULD just remove the exhaust all together, but being in California you'll get raped over that. haha.
@b0r1cha : yes you read correctly , 27k haha. wasn`t used much until the gas prices started going up.
@chriscrash: googled it earlier and it said the two fronts must allow more than 75% of light thru so how dark does that allow me ? i`m still noob when talking about tints :[ . lol and i`ve been scouting around for a trd lip kit . but those things are damnn expensive >.< probably last thing on my list of to-do`s. i was wanting a magnaflow too but i was thinking i`d just do axle-back and leave the rest of it stock.
Ok...that means you can have 75% in the front and probably not more than 30% in the back. I wouldn't go too far from 75% in the back through or else it will look...weird.
axle-back won't be bad.
The more exhaust you upgrade, the more aggressive sound you will get.
