A few questions...

So I'm gonna put an SRI on maybe sometime this week and I was looking at my intake just a bit ago and noticed I only have the 1 sensor and I've been reading that there is 2 sensors..is this just in Gen 4's? and also noticed this little box connected to my intake and don't know what it is and was wondering what it does?

and also I noticed this up behind the engine..

I'm thinking oil leak? It doesn't look too good...

The 95 5S-FE (4 banger) only has an intake air temp sensor up near the filter box.

The box on the intake hose is the resonator -- it's there to cut down intake noise.

The other pic looks like a small oil leak. If high up on the engine (hard to tell from the pic) it's probably the valve cover gasket -- the 5S-FE rigs always weep on the firewall side after a while.

The oil leak is high up on the engine so I'll have too look into that. Thank you very much!

if im not mistaken that is a secondary breater box. so if you air filter it completly shot or wet it can still breath. and it also works as a second debree catcher. you will have no truble with the SRI as long as you use the AFU (air/fuel unit) its the black thing with wires just after the airbox.

So I went to Autozone and bought the Spectre pipe and filter for $70. Installed it when I got home..it was really easy. So when the car is running it makes a little sucking noise..is this normal? and I only really hear it when I really accelerate is that normal to or just because I got the cheap Spectre intake? Well heres my filthy 5fse with it's new intake...

The sucking noise is normal. That's pretty much the only reason to get a SRI is for the awesome noise it makes!

haha. When I had almost finished my swap, I hadn't put the airbox on yet and so I roll started it for the first time. I pulled the butterfly valve all the way open manually and it honestly sounded like a blow-off valve! It was pretty cool.

Almost makes up for the fact that the 5S-FE comes off the line like a drugged slug
