4th Generation 1998 Camry 4-cyl. heating problems

I have a 1998 Camry LE 4-cylinder with about 98,000 miles on it. The main problem is that it blows just 'warm' air unless I'm on the highway...I have changed the anti-freeze/coolant, changed out the thermostat, and put on a new radiator cap; it is only slightly better than it was.

I have read through the forums, and I am still at a loss as to what to do about it!

hmm

You probably need to flush out your heater core. Remove the coolant lines that are going from the engine side coolant lines that run into the firewall and shoot water from a hose into the core both directions a couple times until the water runs clear without rust. Should do the trick.

You want heat? Not my problem that you dont have a garage. If you c ant do it yourself go pay a mechanic or stop asking for advice.

If you want heat...you can either pay someone to do it fer you or do it yerself. You can build a temp shelter with some plastic tarp and use a small space heater to heat up the area under the tarp. Sometimes you gotta do what you need to do to save money...but that's up to you what yer gonna do.
